| TCA HOA Chapter Event Update |
The TCA-HOA Chapter Activities Committee had great 2011 activities. Chapter members, spouses, guests and friends attended.
On Saturday, March 27, 2011 the MTH & S layout tours (three great layouts in the Shawnee area)were well received.
Fifty members, spouses, friends and prospective members attended this great event.

On May 21, 2011 our 2011 Collector's Clinic
was held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Our featured speaker was Steve Dickerson. Steve, an insurance agency owner, discussed insuring our trains/collections.
This was a topic a topic of great interest to all collectors.
Our second presentation featured a panel of members to discuss questions about our hobby.
Many members asked for a "how-to do it" segment and this was a chance to ask the experts.
Even if members could not attend in person, they could email Don Miller a question at olathedonm@aol.com
and we video taped the response and made it available through our TCA HAO web site.
Once again David Dieckman made arrangements for us to use the conference facilities at Scott Rice Office Works in Lenexa, KS.

We sent directions and a link to a map to all members.

You will not want to miss any TCA HOA Chapter events so mark your calendar once emails are sent out on each event.
Time and directions will be announced prior to each event.
Details for our next event will be forth coming, as we get closer.
Watch for 2012 events
Don and his committee are planning more events for our chapter.
Thanks to all who have suggested topics and layouts to tour. We have a few potential layouts to tour in 2012, but we can always use more. Also, if you would be willing to do a presentation at a clinic please let Don Miller or one of the other Activities Committee members know.

Turkey Creek Show:
The following date has been set for the Annual Turkey Creek Show, which is held at the Lenexa Community Center, 13420 Oak, Lenexa, KS (Pflumm & Santa Fe Drive):
ANot set for 2012 yet. The show is held from 8:30am to 3pm.

Mid-America Train & Toy Show:
The following dates have been set for the Mid-America Train & Toy Show, which is held at the KCI Expo Center (new location) at 11728 NW Ambassador Drive, KC MO (I-29 off exit 13)
March 18, August 26 & November 25, 2012. The show is held from 9am to 2pm.

Kansas City Railroadiana & Transportation Show:
will not be held this year, We will update you if we hear more about it.
Upcoming Dates for the TCA Eastern Division York Train Meet in York, PA.:
This show will be held on April 19-21 and October 18-20, 2012. It is held at Fairgrounds in York, PA. Go to www.easterntca.org for more info.
Kansas City Northern Railroad:
